Long lasting orthotic insoles.

How do i go about getting them? Ive been using £20 orthaheel sport insoles but they wear out after a month or two.

Or is there any alternative to fixing my rather irritatingly weak arched feet

I think you will need to get an appointment with a Podiatorist and have some custom made. Mine are made from carbon fire and was told they woul last about ten years.

Hmm, id need a couple of pairs (workboots and gym trainers) possibly 3.. Can't really afford such an amount at the moment without dipping into savings. I shall see what a podiatrist appointment/fitting costs

You might be able to get some decent orthotics via your local nhs podiatry dept. But his may depend on where you are. As has been mentioned carbon fibre devices are often considered to last longest. Whilst is is mainly true if you footwear is likely to have any amount of fine grit or gravel inside this will chew throughthe laminate causing failure in no time. Polypropylene is better in these conditions. Carbon scores mainly because for a given strength it will be thinner and lighter.

If you see a private podiatrist try to get a personal recommendation from someone you know. Prescribing orthotics is a skilled art. A hefty price tag is not always a msrker of quality.
You might want to try superfeet orthotics which tend to last quite well for off the shelf items.

I Have one pair of CF ones and wouldn't be without them

You only need one pair, simply slip them into whichever pair of shoes/boots you're wearing.

They make every pair of shoes I wear very comfortable.
