The past two days I've had a sore throat and pressure in my ears. I've just been knocking back some ibuprofen and sucking on lozenges and the throat is subsiding significantly but the pressure in my ears remains.

Normally I have no issues with flying at all and can "decompress" my ears easily upon landing, but I haven't been able to do this since the weekend no matter what I try. They're well and truly clogged up. Should I MTFU or put off the flight for a few days? It's 80 minutes each way if that matters, tomorrow..

A hot wet towel or flanal around your neck and specifically under the ears can help open the Eustachian tubes, and take some mu cron tablets ASAP.

Hope flight goes well.

I've heard about this before, might try it tonight. I've bought some Pseudoephedrine tablets in the pharmacy along with some Voltarol, fingers crossed.

Take antihistamine combined with a decongestant for 24 hrs before the flight then take a liquid decongestant spray for the flight itself. Don't carry on with the antihistamine after the flight though as it can make things worse with longer use.
