Caught the end of a program saying they're not linked to high cholesterol and all that ste. Is this true? Does it mean we can finally eat eggs without having to seperate the yolk?

Do what people did before cholesterol was turned into a trendy catch phrase.

I do believe only about 3 foods have cholesterol in anyway, prawns, egg yokes and something else, despite 100,000 products in the stores all claiming to be 'Low Cholesterol'.

'Trans fats' seems to have come into vogue in the USA over the last two years. I'd not heard of it before, but then suddenly it is mentioned on every food advertisement.

Eggs are awesome. 4 whole eggs, half a block of cheese, scrambled and on toasted granary bread. I could eat that breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You should fried the bread in lard, or had some bread and dripping, all that good healthy stuff that the nation used to march forth on when building the empire. biggrin

They have been around for a while but it's only recently that the health implications of them have come to light, hence why you didn't hear much and now you do.

Nothing from with eggs either. Have an omelette (5 eggs with 3 yolks) most mornings yum

Just beat it with a pinch of salt & pepper and fry it with a touch of rapeseed oil.

That's an equivalent of 25g of protein. Certainly a lot healthier than rashers of bacon, sausages and hash browns.

Agreed, chuck 120(?)g of chicken and you could have 55g of protein. Good post workout meal?

Why just three yolks? Or do you save the other two for mayonnaise or something?

Just a habit that I tend to stick to that whites to yolks ratio when making an omelette. It seems a bit of a waste but I tend to throw the yolks away as I don't bake or make sauces out of yolks.

My parents started to use less yolks about 7/8 years ago for health reasons so I adopted it about 18 months ago.

That's kind of the point. When you look at old newsreels etc. the only fat people are clearly richer (and idler) then the rest.
