Resting heart rate
Discussion
If it goes below 50 you should see a doctor. As above, It's sometimes not healthy having a low heart rate unless you're an endurance athlete. You could be having problems getting enough blood to your heart amongst other nasty side effects.

Why, as an horrendously overweight fellow, is my resting heart rate so good? Been tracking it for a while now and tonight's was the lowest I've seen: 54bpm.
I was expecting the opposite to be the case and my RHR to be high.
Were you fit when you were younger? That can be a reason for a low heart rate even later in life. Mine is 47/48 and it's not due to the shape I'm in now!I was expecting the opposite to be the case and my RHR to be high.
