So, I'm in my 30s and while my head once rivalled Samson, it is no longer quite the specimen it used to be.

I'm thinning in the front and am getting a nice stereotypical bald patch on the crown.

If I'm honest, I go through phases of not really caring that it's happening to really not enjoying the occassional glimpses I catch in harsher light and in photographs.

I'm no vainer than you're average guy I think, but I really would like to explore some options to get it back.

Anyone been able to reverse the process or stop it?

What are the treatments? Any recommendations?

Rooney's £30,000 hair transplant - did it actually work?

Interested to hear from experienced PH'ers!

Dear sd,

what next, dyeing your hair? biggrin

Start with a no. 2 all over and when it gets really thin no. 1 - works for me

And think how much you save on "male grooming" products,

Just have to grin and bear it. I started the same as you in my late twenties. Sill have some hair left twenty years on. Just one of those things. Do women really care, I don't think so.

Cut it short and forget about it. Do not waste time trying to cover it up. If you're in your 30's then you are hardly alone, be thankful you've kept it as long as you have!

Luckily having short/shaved hair is quite fashionable these days.

^^^ This, it's the only way to go.

Or maybe a greasy ponytail.

Is it the way the moonlight dances off their head, or is it the fact it look a little like a schlong..

As one of the follically challenged, I have found this has been the best idea:

Im the same in the hair department, although I didn't realise how bad on top until I saw some pics from a PH meet a couple of years ago.

It doesn't bother me really but it does annoy me that women like to make a point of mentioning it, although if you were to remark on their weight or wrinkles you would be a bd.

Wait until you're in your 40s/50s and the hair will, as if by magic, regrow. thumbup

Going bald looks better than shaving your head to thug-levels.
