Sleep problems
Discussion
Afternoon all
.
The title says it all really. I'm really struggling with my sleep pattern, and not too sure what I can do to improve it.
Last night I went to bed at 2200, but still awake at 0230, and up at 0500 for work.
I don't drink tea or coffee, and try and not have any fizzy drinks a few hours before I go to bed. My diet isn't brilliant, but not as bad as it used to be.
My hours at work are a little varied, a Monday is 1800 - 2200, Tuesday is 0800 - 1800, Wednesday 1300 - 2015, Thursday off, Friday 1300 - 2015, Saturday off and Sunday 1000 - 1500.
I really struggle with finishing at 2200 on Monday and starting at 0800 on Tuesday. I get in at about 2215, and am in bed by 2230.
Any advice would be great

One thing that always seems to cause me problems is lying in bed watching TV, try to keep your bed / bedroom just for sleep so that is what your body associates the bed for... There is obviously one exception to this rule...
Opposite for me. Need my nightly dose of Family Guy and I'm pleasantly zonked by the end of the second episode and good to go to sleep with a smile on your face - regardless of how you arrived at it ;-)OP; do you do any exercise? I had similar issues in the past and last year started a daily regime and I have to say, I've never slept better.
