Blood sugar monitor suggestions?

My accu-chek compact of several years is giving unreliable readings - 3.7,5.0 and 4.4 within 2 minutes, it is about 7 years old!!
I like it as it has a cartridge of testing strips so you dont have to load one each time, good when out riding or if you have the shakes...
What are people using at the mo, good and bad?
I was given a free one when I started on byetta a couple of years ago and it was rubbish, had a separate prickers and had to load a new strip each and every time

+1 on ringing Accu chek.
Very good people on their helpline... Undoubtedly will send you an up to date replacement.
Swift and friendly service in my experience.
My current Aviva meter is about 18 months old.... I was recently in hospital for minor surgery, and I self tested and got a reading of 6.7. Nurse came to do OBs on me literally two minutes later, and insisted on testing me with the hospital kit. Good to see that the reading she got was also 6.7
I have used other brands over the previous twenty years or so, but Accu Chek do appear to be the diabetes monitoring version of the German automotive industry....
