Chaps,

As the subject says, I am fed up of paying over the odds for contact lenses. I've done some Googling and i've seen a few sites which seem a bit cheaper. Have you ever ordered contact lenses online? If so, where?

Cheers

Yep - I order my contacts from DaySoft - admittedly I'm not a very regular wearer (about twice a week) but they're a lot cheaper and just as comfy as the 1-day Acuvue lenses I used to buy.

I'm also about to purchase a spare pair of specs to leave in the car - probably from glassesdirect as they have a nice home trial feature.

Yes, no problem except for ordering the first batch without the negative sign in front of my prescription. Did not notice until the end of the 1st day when I thought they were just crap !!

Spare specs from Glasses direct.

Contact lenses from www.contactlenses.co.uk

Both give perfect service.

I buy from contactlenses.co.uk. Got loads of brands, including some cheap Chinese made stuff which I wear every day with no issues. next day free delivery too. They often sell the stores branded stuff under a different name. That site has a page telling you which ones

Should point out its still important to go for an annual contact lenses check at an opticians, particularly if you are going to swap brands.

I've been ordering online lenses for several years - usually visiondirect for accuvue or B&L softlens
I ended up throwing away my daysoft lenses - they really irritated my eyes, and felt 'cheap' but my mate still uses them as they are about as cheap as you can get.

Cheers guys.

I have two weekly contacts at the moment, but i'm wondering about a switch to dailies. The only thing is I have an astigmatsim in my left eye.

Here's my thread from a short while ago

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I went with the recommendation on feelgoodcontacts.com and bought Daysoft Silk (ie, the cheapest ones). I ordered on Monday night and they arrived today, which is a little bit longer than what my old supplier Vision Direct tend to take, but it was enough of a price difference and I had enough time to wait it out
