Help with identifying problem

Bit of a strange one, won't go into too much of the back story but I've been talking to a lady friend, someone I'm crazy about and care dearly for, for 2 years, we met over 4 years ago but she got back in touch 2 years ago as she was living back in my area.

We haven't seen each other at all in the 2 years because she's been suffering from something, she won't tell me what it is, but all I know is that she's been pretty much housebound for 2 years and she's been taking morphine as well, definitely over the last 18 months, not sure on doses or regularity.

Does anyone have any idea what she might have, whatever it is, it wouldn't change my thoughts and feelings for her but I do worry about her immensely and I think she worries if I knew, my feelings for her might change.

Bit of a shot in th dark I know but thought someone on here might know.
