I hate going to the docs at the best of times, but think I might have to with my sinuses. My ears constantly feel ‘full’ – I don’t necessarily think I hear less, but it’s like I have a lot of fluid in the base of them? My nose gets blocked a lot randomly, I often wake up feeling I’ve got a cold coming on, running outside in anything other than boiling hot and I get weird aching in my ears and mouth/jaw and my head often feels quite pressured if that makes sense?

Do I need to request to see an ENT specialist?

I’d be interested to hear from those who’ve had sinus problems.

OH has sinus problems to the extent of stuffy head, snoring, random blocked nose, etc...

Says she is a lot better after buying a rhino pouring thing, do not know the technical name, I just call it the nose dildo.

you put hot water and salt in it, let it cool down then pour in one nostril and out the other, cleaning the crap with it.

OH says she is a lot better, therefore it must work quite well.

It sounds very similar to me Muon, I don't get aches or anything in my ears or jaw but sometimes when I go really hard on something like squats for good amount of reps, say 5 x 10 at 70% max weight I.e. something that makes you regret the life choices you've made to find yourself in that situation, ill get a bunged up ear at the end.

When I wake up, I always have dried dirt right behind my nose so it feels blocked and a little snuffly, this has gone on for as long as I can remember. Went to an ENT specialist at Queens Medical in Nottingham, got a long metal rod poked up my nose which felt extremely uncomfortable, she didnt notice anything wrong at all just recommended nasel douching which really clears my sinuses up for a good few hours.

Thanks - I'll get down the quacks in a couple of weeks when I have some time during the week off.

It's been going on for ages and I know something isn't right. Hopefully be able to put my private health insurance to the test if I need a specialist.

Does it feel like dried dirt up there, just behind your the holes at the back of your nose or does it feel like your sinuses are just too small? Have you ever had your nose broken as well or an impact that might have collapsed something?

Not dried dirt, just the holes are too small? Never had a broken nose but I did fracture my orbital bone in 2 places a few years back??

When running I get a jaw/teeth ache and I don't clench my jaw... my ears also ache a lot too and this isn't just cold weather (although that's worse), it also happens in mild weather. frown
