Room air filters / purifiers
Discussion
I posted this a couple of weeks ago in H,G,DIY but got no response. Perhaps someone here can advise.
Thinking of getting a room air filter / purifier to reduce general dust levels and allegy problems. Couldn't find any recent threads on PH so any recommendations or advice on places for independent reviews? I did a search on http://www.which.co.uk but there were no hits. Not sure where else to look for independent advice.
The vac has a hepa filter and we do use it!

We've got a couple of the Airfree filters - see http://www.airfree.com/
Not cheap but you should be able to turn up the occasional deal with a bit of googling.
Have used them for about 5 years and they do seem to help with my son's asthma and my occasional hay fever; we both seem to notice (get sniffy) if they're not used for a few days.
They have the advantages of being silent, and of torching bugs and stuff (instead of collecting them in a filter that you then have to change while holding your breath!).
YMMV, of course, but they work for us.
