Shaving Soap Bowl / Dish

Hi,
Recently got back into shaving and went with the recommended Wilkinson Sword shaving soap.
The product is ok but I don't like the plastic bowl.
I've searched and can't find much - looking online the vast majority seem to be hardwood - but surely they absorb water and harbour bacteria ?
I was thinking a ceramic dish would be common but apparently not or a stainless one preferably with a screw lid for travelling.
Any recommendations, with or without the soap ?

This is what I have - it was £20 from the same retailer when I bought it Sept 2012.
Its OK I spose but haven't got much to compare it too. I was using a plastic thing we had in the bathroom before and it is definitely better than that but it is my first dedicated shaving bowl.
One thing I have heard floated about is that the bowl can retain heat which is good for the lather but TBH it doesnt really hold heat for that long and it doesn't Feel like it makes a difference.
