Dizziness, numb hands,tired,migraine and now a droopy face

My missus is currently experiencing all the above symptoms and I was just wondering if anyone has had anything similar. She has had a number of tests which haven't shown anything and she has seen a neurologist who has refered her for an MRI scan but no idea when this will happen.

She has always suffered with migraines and the neurologist has speculated that this might have resulted in nerve damage. She's been getting the symptoms on and off for a few years but now it just seems constant and getting worse.

Just to check, did she *just* get a droopy face? If so, A&E now! (Google "stroke symptoms" if you're not sure.)

Otherwise, no idea.

droopy face can be sign of a stroke.

Or Bells Palsy or Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. Any lumps in her ears?

Her ears seem fine and I have told her to go to the doctors but I'm away at the moment so no idea if she will or not. She seemed OK on the phone as in her speech was fine so I'm confidant that the droopy face is just another symptom of what she's been going through already. She says it feels like she's been to the dentist although if she's talking then it goes away but if she's watching TV or similar then the numbness sets in.

It seems like all the symptoms are part of a nervous problem and the obvious answer is MS but that is just one of many possible causes so we're trying not to think about that at the moment. Really I'm just wondering what else it could be and if there is a way back because at the moment it's just getting worse with no end in sight.

My wife had a stroke a year and a half ago at age 46, she has made a full recovery and is back to work.Whilst in A&E i was told by the staff that migraine victims under go the same tests and are treated as if for a stroke until results confirm otherwise, symptoms of migraine are very similar to stroke.

My grandfather had numb hands, which quickly escalated up his arms and to his legs.

MRI scan showed that his vertebra was fused together and was strangling his spinal cord.

Operation was done Saturday and he's back walking already and the numbness has almost gone completely.

Numbness in my hands and feet, spreading up those limbs over time was liver failure.

Remote possibility it could be CIDP, my mother has it and it took quite a while for it to be diagnosed. wiki here...

To the OP, those symptoms sound just what I had a few years back. Something that looked like Bells Palsy, migraine like headaches(for about 1 & half months).
Suffice to say after much prodding, poking & a lumbar puncture(Never want that again) they said MS :-(

I think she's now been to tht doctors but I've not spoken to her today so not sure. The droopy face cleared up on it's own, disappeared just as soon as suddenly as it came on.

I hope your MS isn't too bad Mutts, my sister was diagnosed a couple of years ago but apparently she has a fairly mild version and is controling it with weekly injections which are probably worse than the MS symptoms!

Glad that's cleared up, but you do no harm seeing if she can see a neurologist.

Its not bad thanks, controlled by the contents of a pharmacy which includes the nice cannabis based drug :-)
Know a few on the injections & they say the same.
My biggest problem is bad fatigue, I'm nearly immune to caffeine :-(
