After much research I've found this varies a lot from person to person.

I can bench 130kg x 5 reps
I can dumbbell press 61.2kg x 5 reps (135lbs)

(61.2kgx2) ÷ 130kg = 94.15%

From what I gather 80% is about average but there's no survey/tests. So what's your ratio?

90%, once you go past a certain weight though, dumbells start to become more bothersome than they're worth.

dumbells at my gym only go up to 50's so mine is less than 80% frown

Trying to get 50kg+ dumbells into position without assistance was cumbersome for me, quite a few guys in the gym I wouldn't trust with being able to pick up the 50kg dumbell and hand it to me either.

Oh fair enough. I can put up the 60's myself. I won't do the weight if I can't get it up with minimal assistance smile

my overheads are rubbish...dont know why..prob poor shoulder flexibility. can do decent deads and back squats though. My BP is 100kg 1RM.Crossfit dont use DBs..plenty of KBs which I've discovered this week to be a killer!

I thought I was a badass for hitting the 40kg's , sounds like I have a long way to go yet!

oh for the purposes of the thread I benched 75kg on the flat bar the other day.
