I saw an advert in a Kids comic for "Sea Monkeys", I thought how cool is that.

So I saved up my pocket money and sent off for them. They arrived many weeks later as a dried up stick like object, I followed the instructions and placed them in a bowl of water.

To my suprise life did bloom from the dry, dead stick, but they were not the Sea Monkeys I had imagined and read about in the advert, they were indeed some type of tiny sand flea.

I really should have known better, as I was 26YO at the time.
