I had a disaster on Saturday, lifting a box I felt a popping sensation in my right little figure which immediately left the tip at a downwards right angle. I went to A&E Sunday and found out I have a small fracture and a torn tendon which is known as Mallet Finger. It is now in a splint which cannot be removed for 8 -12 weeks and have also been told I cannot lift anything heavier than a cup of tea with my right hand. This gives me two huge problems:
1. I am currently moving everything I own to Cornwall over the next few weeks. I cannot really sort/pack anything.
2. I am also in the process of shedding 8 stone, now at 6.5 stone lost. As part of my loss I am doing lots of press ups, sit ups and dumbell curls in order to firm up. I now cannot do any of these things
All from a little finger, today I am not happy.

The lack of the exercises you mention will not make much difference...unless you spend hour after hour doing them. You could try walking/jogging instead.
Well done with the (I assume) diet.

Wot 'e sed.Update, after getting over my little sulk I have decided to run alternate days. I would love to be able to squat but have shot knees after waddling round at 20st plus for 8 years
I am starting by doing interval running which began yesterday with a 6 mile effort taking 50 mins. I have lost the weight by cutting carbs out completely albeit a handful of oatbran each morning with skimmed milk. Hopefully I will get the run up to 7 miles of pure running 3-4 days a week. If I keep on my eating plan and run is it likely I will lose my love handles?
