Every time I exercise, doesnt matter weather I use weights, run, ride my bike or anything else I get pretty shakey.

Does anyone have some insight into this, as I have taken quite a layoff exercise before coming back to it recently.

Before I didnt have a job and could spend all day using weights...doing 500+ push ups/sit ups and heavy weights all day long easierly with not much fatigue just a lot of sweat, which im guessing us cos I trained my body to do that.

Now im starting using weights again, after I do my weights, I get pretty shakey and a bit weak.

Is that because I have expended all muscles glysogen stores during pushing iron? And if so, what would the quickest way to get over this be? Drinking/eating something sugery? I used to eat something like an apple and banana lbetween sets off 100 push ups. Mights that have stopped it happening before?

Do you have a lot of sugar/carbs in your diet normally?

Do you feel the need for a sugary drink or bit of food after exercise?

no i dont really feel the need to have something sugery after exercise, and i drink diet coke/pepsi max most time, but I do tend to drink an energy drink most days, but thats only in the morning when i wake up, I tend to try and get someything meaty into me (lol) after exercise like a steak/chicken or whatever, so i dont really ever have anything sugery after exercise.

why? is that important?

Sounds like you're running low on fuel.

probably about 2 years.

and hoofy, yeah I was thinking that, cos after i get my meat based product into me with a pint of milk and whatever else, it goes after about half an hour to an hour after. but i was wondering why it happened, as it didnt used to happen to me when i was training all day long.

might a pre-work out mix/shake of some sort be good? never really had one before so dont really know what they are all about.

What's your current food intake including calories on training days? List it with times you eat and the time you train.

umm, current food intake is a bit random atm, i have lunch and dinner and snacks in-between, and even the odd kebab + burger after dinner before i go to bed, but I dont usually have breakfast.

as Im not looking to get ripped or cut, just more muscle, i dont really think about eating no carbs an stuff like that. I actually need a bit of fat really, as I have chrons disease as when that flares up i loose weight pretty quickly, so would rather loose the bit of fat i have atm, than loose the muscle i will hopefully gain.

as for food diary, i usually have a sandwich or 2, packet of crisps an perhaps a choc bar for lunch, an dinner can be anything really, from a microwave meal to a good steak.

I do usually try and get something good into me before and after training though, like a pint of milk, and some sort of meat... be it a few sausages or some chicken or something.

before, when i was training all day, i had really really low body fat and not a huge amount of muscle, but i was really strong for my size, being able to bench 15% over my body weight, but when my chrons flared up and i lost weight, i lost muscle and strength because of that.

I was more interested to see what you were eating before training. If you train in the evening before dinner and the last time you ate was lunchtime that may be a bit of a big gap.

Quite common after a long layoff for muscles to twitch and spasm post exercise (muscle fasciculations), especially weights.
