Back Injury Advice
Discussion
I was doing some squats last Thursdsy, nothing too insane 50kg including the bar. Form was fairly good until the final set where I went a little deeper than anticipated, didn't feel anything pop or get any dodgy twinges, but as I was tired anyway I called it quits. Woke up on Friday morning with pain in my lower back, trying to get out of bed was difficult, with me having to roll around to find a position that didn't cause stabbing pains in my back.
It's now Sunday and nothing much has changed, I'm very light on my feet as normal walking hurts my lower back. I don't really have an tingling or such in my legs, but I do almost feel like my legs are too heavy to move at times! Right now I'm resting, icing and taking ibuprofen which takes the edge off, but should I be getting myself into A&E for a scan?

The pain is located right at the base of my spine, and seems to be exacerbated by dorsiflexion of the feet, there is no pain anywhere else, thought my quads and hamstrings are quite tired. I just put 2+2 together and thought squats must have led to the back problems as I've done nothing else that would cause it recently.
I would imagine you've pulled a muscle somewhere, I did similar a few weeks back lifting a really heavy box, the pain was awful for a couple of days I was in agony, but my back has slowly returned to normal.
However, I am not a doctor, so would suggest if you are really concerned get yourself down to A&E.
Hope it is nothing too serious....
