Fingernail growth - lack of

Little question for the white-coated among you... 15 days ago I was knocked off my bike and broke two bones in my hand.

Since then, the fingernails on the broken hand haven't grown at all. Is this normal? It's been operated on, I've been elevating it a lot of the time to help with swelling etc, but it just seems odd.
