Anyone wear gym / weight gloves?
Discussion
I haven't owned a pair for years, but the free bars at my gym are becoming so greasy from teenagers preening their waxy quiffs it can be hard to keep a good grip. Wide grip bench or deadlifts use a great deal of energy just gripping, before the business of lifting can be considered.
I also would like to insulate myself from surfaces that teenagers have touched. I know full well that they will have been masturbating or picking acne immediately prior to arrival at the gym and I don't want to contaminate myself with teenage bodily fluids.
So if anyone uses them recommendations please.

Personally I only like gloves where I don't really need maximum grip. I like gloves on things like bench or I find the direct pressure on the ulnar nerve is too much. For low rep work I like chalk where I really need grip and know my grip is not likely to fatigue before the rest of me. For higher rep work I like straps as my grip will fail before the muscle I am trying to work and its cleaner. Straps are nice on greasy handled machines too.
Straps.. Any cheaper the better if you have skinny wrists as the pads don't let them go tight and you will just cut them off.
Chalk.. Liquid stuff is preferable as its less messy. My protein do it so put it in your next order.
Gloves.. I like Schiek. They are expensive but imo last and fit a lot better.

Straps or chalk would be out of place at the gym I use, furthermore I am not lifting that heavy. It is just to shield my hands from residue of teenager and help with slippery bars. I will look into Schiek though, thanks.Straps.. Any cheaper the better if you have skinny wrists as the pads don't let them go tight and you will just cut them off.

No need for gloves or anything really unless you go for comps or are INSANELY strong and if you are insanely strong you should have the grip to match.
But it's all preference.
Someone I train with not only wears gloves but also uses the tissue paper to do his lat pull downs (yep, looks weird and girly). I don't use a belt, gloves, chalk or anything for deadlifts.

Yes I always wear them in the gym, find it comfier and I can grip better.
