obviously anything's possible...etc

but, I'm thinking the eat 5 days out the week but have 2 days where you eat 500 cals or something is the most likely winner?

I'm 5'8" weigh 11 stone 3 pounds ish. So reasonably slim-line-ish already. Ie 71.5 kgs want to get near 65kgs in time for me hols! laugh I don't eat loads anyway, but just want to lose a bit.

you are already light but obviously 'fat skinny'. you can lose 6kg in 4 weeks but it wont be good for you and it wont happen as you suggest. try 1000 cals strict

well im 1 inch shorter than you, and roughly a stone less than you, and I would class myself as still underweight. (well Ok I've got a bit of fat now, but no were near enough muscles, so If I was you, I would be trying to build muscle AND loose fat, rather than just loose fat.

I would say a good weight for your hight is about 12 stone (perhaps 12.5) in lean muscle. but thats just me, I would be happy to be 12,5 in lean muscle.

Fair enough although that weight does sound slightly unhealthy.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but 4 weeks isn't going to give you enough time to fix this.

It can be done, but you'll blow away on a windy day.

Nothing wrong with your weight, you're just flabby. Start the Insanity program and diet; that'll get rid of the fat and give you some decent beach tone too. Or do some sort of circuit, mild weight training as well as interval training on whatever exercise thing floats your boat - running, cycling, swimming. Need to cut your carbs way down and eat smaller more regular meals.

Probably achievable with discipline and no booze.

It's definitely possible but it won't be pleasant. You'll have to severely restrict your calorie intake as well as do a fair bit of cardio. But as well as losing fat you'll more than likely lose a fair but of muscle too. And when you lose lean tissue your metabolism slows so when you do return to your normal eating habits/lifestyle you will actually gain more weight than what you lost in the first place.

You'll lose water look different for a week then as soon as you go back to how you ate before or whatever you will go back to how you were.

Seriously don't bother. You are going the wrong way about it. Just accept nobody is going to be looking at a 5,8 skinny bloke on holiday and be done with it.

If you go mental on the diet you may lose that, trouble is the hardest fat to shift is the belly stuff so you may just emphasis your belly unless you do some exercise to tone it up, even then I think it's a bit late in the day.

Why did you not decide to do this 2 months ago?

Hey I've been meaning to do this for...emrm... 2 years at least smash

good point about emphaising my bad bits and losing weight off me good bits - I think I will keep diet the same and simply try and do some aerobic work every day to make me more lean generally, but not shed loads of weight suddenly

cheers all

Do some weights, or at least start banging out the pressups to give your chest, shoulders and arms some tone at a vague effort towards the beach body!

Weights aren't going to do anything in 4 weeks.

No carbs and no booze....that should put you in a good mood.

There is a way: Get in an accident and lose a limb. You'll have lost the weight, but keep the stump out the sun because it will smart a bit.

Otherwise I don't see you achieving this goal, sorry.

This. Start lifting some weights and not only will it help get rid of the belly but you will get a better shape too.

It's definitely do-able, I've dropped 12lb in four weeks, mind you I have spent thirty hours in the saddle in that time!

I've just lost about 6kg in about 6 weeks. Eating small healthy meals Mon-Fri and running 5k 2-3 times a week with a 5k cycle thrown in for good measure. Still had the odd meal out and McDonalds. I think I have quite a high metabolism though.
