Back to using My Fitness Pal and there are a zillion entries for chicken breast.....all different.

Thought I'd just set up my own one...so what figs do I used for pan cooked chicken breast (and I assume thats a better weight/time to work it out than raw due to varying water content?)

I always tend to use the packet, but this is a reasonable breakdown;

Nutrition Facts per 1 breast (130 g)
Energy 753 kj
180 kcal
Protein 37.4 g
Carbohydrate 0 g
Fat 3.4 g
Saturated Fat 1 g

In regards to fast food, sod knows why they get it so wrong. I think all the big chains advertise the nutrition information on their websites.

I think it's actually down to users putting the calories in really low to make themselves feel better about it, always makes me laugh seeing how much people have lied to themselves!

Back when I worried about such things, I always weighed and calculated the raw produce. If nothing else this is likely to err on the side of caution as most meats tend to lose water therefore weight as they're cooked.
I used to keep spreadsheets and was fastidious about weighing measuring everything. I found it easier and more accurate to keep values per 100g and simply multiply them out per portion.
Can't be arsed these days - way simpler ways to control BF and LM.

But is that the raw weight?

I find MFP works really well for me, shifted a stone in a month biggrin

If in doubt I just err on the high side for calories...
