Had a pot put on my ankle (left) on Monday for a fractured (not displaced) ankle (inner), when I stand up from having my leg elevated I am getting a sharp shooting pain I would say 4/5" above the ankle just to the right of my shin bone... im worried about a blood clot, or is this just normal??

Go and see

1) Plaster Room
2) Fracture Clinic
3) Your GP
4) Casualty

working through that list IN ORDER until you find a doctor who sorts you out.

could be nothing

Thanks, just seems weird that its only painful when I put my leg straight after having it up.... Painful for a minute or 2 then subsides... Can the pot be to tight on the fractured ankle?
