right o then,

ive always been a bit round and deceptively heavy ( i blame years of horse riding and hockey!) but i decided it was now or never to get that perfect shape that i never thought i would be.

2 months ago i was 10 stone 8 lbs ive upped my running, walk 5k a day and taken up hockey again once a week, food intake has really cut back im currently eating 1200-1300 calories a day. Trying to eat clean but i love my food so theres the odd treat in there when there are the calories left.

Im now my target weight on 9.5 stone biggrin i was thinking of dropping to 9st but im not sure.

although now im not sure what i should be doing in terms of firming everything up? I find gym work so painfully dull there is zero point in me spending £50 a month on a membership when ill barely go.

can someone reccomnd the best way to tone up, arms, legs and tummy... yeah thats pretty much all of me.

I've got some good news. I was about to say that you had an embarrassingly feminine body for a bloke (thought you were male accordingly to your name which I assumed was your surname). biggrin

Anyway, the standard MFP advice is to lift heavy and get athletic.

Mountain biking is working for me for a bit of legs and ass toning and generally getting fitter and it's quite fun smile I'm the same, I cannot exercise in a gym full of mirror wes. So dull!

Ignore the numbers, x kgs or x lbs is a bit meaningless and arbitrary.
Judge yourself on how you look and feel.

Wants to build muscle but doesn't want to go to a gym.

I see your predicament.

Sure. Calisthenics. Still requires killing yourself to achieve what you want.

The gym is just an efficient way to achieve it that's all. Sure, you can improvise at home, in the garden etc but the reason most go to the gym is so they don't have to dick around finding things to pick up and put down etc.

Find yourself a good yoga class, once you've learnt how to practice safely, you can do it at home.

Yoga is a good call - just make sure it's always difficult. If it starts getting easy then you'll stall on your progress.

Run more. If you want to be toned you need muscle first, which means you need to grow and that involves medium weights and repetitions.Use your bodyweight. There are many bodyweight exercises you can do at home, with progressions to build size/strength.
