Benign Arachnoid cyst

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone has experience of these ? My dad had a few issues and after a scan shows a quite large Benign Arachnoid cyst on his brain the doctor said it could well have been there since he was a child but is the most likely reason behine headaches / sickness / dizzyness / hearing loss.
Friday is his 3 month meeting with a consultant and i think will have another scan to compare sizes etc
My question is apart from leaving it as it is has anyone got any experience of drilling and draining the cyst or worst case removing the cyst.
