The dental hygenist's ultrasonic cleaner...

...you know the one, if you visit the dental hygenist that is?!
It's an ultrasonic waterjet cleaner, that blasts plaque away.
There are two hygenists at my local dentist. One uses the device quite carefully, and despite me asking that she uses it to it's fullest extent to really blast away everything from under the gums, she is quite gentle, and doesn't go too mad with it. The result is a rather boring, comfortable scale and polish, but one that leaves my teeth a little way away from total cleanliness.
The other knows what I want, and is not scared to blast the thing right under the gums, turned up to 11, as I request.
It hurts, but in a local, stinging kinda way. Feels like lots of little needles being stabbed into my gums all at once. Despite the pain, it leaves my teeth and gums looking, for want of a better expression 'like new.' I can really see and feel the difference that there is no plaque left on my teeth or at the base of them, underneath the gums. My dental hygiene looks and feels amazing for ages afterwards.
Anyway, the point of the thread is this - and yes, I am sure I will be dubbed a weirdo.
But, the 'needle-like' pain thing....well, I kinda like it and enjoy it
Not in any strange or even sexual way - pain is pain after all.
The first few stabs of it make me think 'arrggghhh', but then after a few minutes, 'arrrgghhh' turns into 'mmmmm', I quite like this...
I am an odd man.

thats horrible, bloody gagging at the thought of it.Mind you it's pretty grim when they take an impression of the teeth and it feels like the putty stuff is slipping down your throat uuugggg
