I posted a thread a while back about finding something hard and painful under the skin of my thumb.
Turns out it has become a horribly warty thing - not only this, but two others have popped up on the same thumb! Rank.
Best ways to get rid? Bought some "Extra strength" Bazooka gel but it is a right faff to use.

Yeah just keep using it - it works.
Or the old wives tale... rub a piece of raw meat on it, then bury the meat.. the wart will disappear as the raw meat rots away.

I found Bazooka to be useless on my thumb wart a few years back.
I ended up using a salicylic acid mix, made up for me by the very lovely people at my local chemist. Every day after my shower, I would clean my thumb with pure alcohol, and then place a doughnut shaped plaster / cotton pad thing around the wart. I'd then fill it with the acid and bandage it with gauze and tape.
After a week, I'd then carefully take away the dead skin, and repeat for an entire month. The result was a very painful crater in my thumb that looked disgusting but the wart was completely destroyed and gone.
After that, it was a case of keeping it clean and bug-free with iodine and then waiting for it to heal. Apart from a very very slight lightness of the skin, it's impossible to tell what was there.
The main thing to remember is to keep treating it until you are absolutely sure the wart is gone otherwise it will probably return.

Did that to a veruca back in my youth, cut around it then yanked it out with a pair of tweezers, bled a lot but got rid of the fker.
Aye you end up leaking a bit but it doesnt hurt or anything ker.

The freezing kits you can buy from the pharmacist work, but you need to freeze the wart for twice as long as it says on the pack.
That. Freeze the bugger. Ignore the time instructions on the packet and just do it for a long time. The Dr just kept going with stronger/colder stuff untill I couldn't take the pain.
