Vasectomy – private or NHS?

Not sure actually if this can be done on The NHS, but anyone got any views?

I see Marie Stopes charge c£400 for the procedure. Local private place near me wanted £1,195, plus £170 for consultation and more for checkups.

I’ve two brilliant kids, am nearly 37 and really don’t want any more. I love them to bits, but too stressful going through pregnancy!

Any thoughts?

you can still get this done on the NHS, no problem - it's the attempts at reversal that they won't fund.

No point going private it only takes a couple of minutes. Had mine done on the NHS even though I have private cover. Walk in, limp out!

Go see GP, tell him you want plums chopped, explain your happy as you are and better half agrees, get booked in, jab/snip/burn, jobs done!

Yep, free, had mine done last year. Followed the aftercare instructions to the letter, no problems
