ANy orthopaedic chaps here? Failed operation, what now?

I've had shoulder problems since I was a teenager, culminating in 25 odd dislocations, a putti platt repair in 1990 & this January, further surgery following a squash injury.

The squash thing caused pain & reduced motion in the joint & my consultant told me post op he'd done some 'tidying up' and 'stitched up a couple of tears.'

Six months on, I have no improvement and arguably it's worse. I can't lift the arm from my side due to the pain & muscle is definitely catching on something inside the joint.

I'm loathe to put myself back in the hands of someone who hasn't been able to keep their promise I.e. I can fix your joint in answer to a straight question, so what do I do now? I'm not sure I can take another thirty or forty years like this but I've now had two failed NHS operations.

Go back and see your most recent surgeon, be totally honest with him about your symptoms and experiences, if he is stumped ask him for a second opinion. He will oblige.
