Four days down, feeling better already. OH has stopped as well and we are using this weeks saving for a well deserved date on Saturday.

If I make it to the month I can use some of the savings to join gym so I can work on my weight too biggrin

Then OH is going to save the rest in future and we are going to look at a nice holiday next year with the kids

Only problem is everything stinks wink

Im in, had my last ciggy on Friday night. Bought one of them Liberty Flights electronic jobbys on Saturday and so far ive been ok. Was dying for a ciggy on Monday but determination is getting me through.
Not feeling any better physically as yet apart from my smokers cough has eased a bit and i dont smell like a dirty ashtray any more.
Glad im not on my own with Stoptober, looking forward to being a non smoker hopefully smile

You feel better, youre saving so much money it will pay for a family holiday and youre only going to quit for a month?

I have never smoked but drink enough to put Oliver Reed to shame so I am doing Sober for October instead. 4 days in so, first weekend to contend with. Haven't got the shakes yet either.

Most of my office seem to be sat at their desks smoking e-cigs. Not quite sure that is the same as actually quitting.

Lol, if I do it for a month I meant I intend to make it permanent!

1 week in and all is going well so far. The vapour cigarette thing is doing its job and i even seem to be using that less but i have had a easy last two weeks without much stress. Hows everyone else doing?

I stopped 1 week ago, smoked between 10 - 15 a day, this has to be one of the hardest things I have done, first few days were nightmare and was so close to buying some but have persisted, big eye opener was putting money in jar everyday when we would by some factor in weekend smoking etc could be upto £80 a week between us.
must admit I feel so much better already, cravings aren't as bad and I have done this cold turkey I personally think its the only way but that's just me smile
