Gym - Alternating Strength Training with Cardio?
Discussion
Hi All,
I've found a 24hr gym nearby which looks great, one thing that had put me off in the past was not being able to go before work. Now that I've found a suitable gym, i'm keen to start.
My focus is strength training. I've found a plan which looks great. 5x5, mon wed fri.
I would like to do some cardio on the off days, tues and thurs. Is there any issue with this?
Thanks!

Short and simple, thanks!
I'm aware it was probably a daft question, just wanted to make sure.

The only issue would be if you wanted to do them in the same session, in which case, the general advice is doing the strength stuff before the cardio so you're fresh and full of energy to lift rather than dragging your feet at the end and trying to pull off personal bests with poor form.

That's true! OPer didn't specify any goals, though.

Have you read that article about doing strength and cardio in the same session will reduce gains by x amount compared to separating them?
I guess it's possible. Not really an issue as I tend to be too f
