Simple question. Feel permanently tired. Actual sleep around 6 hours. Wife can do double. From experimenting i seem to function better on around 6.5 hours. If i go bed earlier i wake at stupid o'clock.

Can easily do 8 or 9 on holiday though.

Isn't the ideal between 4 and 8? Less being bad and more being just as bad?

4hrs if I'm lucky. 2hrs after nights. 25 years of shifts do strange things to your body clock. Permanently knackered

Around 6 is fine for me, I actually find if I go for 8 I feel pretty crap in the morning until I shower / have a coffee.

Never been one to lie about in bed all day!

I need 8 or so. I get between 5 and 7 most nights - early starts and a baby plus late nights due to work or trying to wind down frown

Seven hours' sleep and can maybe lie in bed for up to an hour longer, but get very bored after that. The OH can easily sleep for another two hours beyond the point at which I've got up and started doing stuff, in fact, if I didn't wake her up at that point she'd probably go on for at least another hour still!

7 but I know I'm better on 8. There's an app which is meant to help manage you sleep. Must try it...zzz

I function best on 6-7 but usually only get 5 during the week. Not a lot of fun.

Usually 6, sometimes 7. Any more than that and I tend to wake up with a headache.

Varies wildy, anywhere between 4 when I have a bout of insomnia to 9+ when I've had two night of insomnia and 'crash' a bit.

Terrible waste of time though imo sleeping....

When I'm not working, 7 to 8 hours, when I'm working its around 4. Am working now and will get home at 7:30 but will not go to bed as it's my first day off today.

No option for me to vote, but on average 2 to 3 hours a night. Sometimes I can go 3 days & 2 nights on a total of an hour or so in 15 minute segments.
I do have issues with my sleep as you can see, I started to notice I was getting less & less about 12 years ago & it has just got steadily worse over the years, but it is linked to a couple of health issues I have & so far after 7 years of medication it hasn't improved.

5-6 usually, but not by choice. Would prefer at least 8.....
