I've got a little boy who has just turned 6 and for the last few weeks has had a few spots on his face, not a rash but proper little pimples. Seems quite unusual in such a young kid. Does it need further investigation or just one of those things?

Pimples are usually down to either hormones or blocked sebaceous glands

Is his diet healthy ie not too much crap and plenty of fruit and veg etc? Also is he washing his chops often enough and keeping clean?

From an allergic sense, have you changed anything? ie washing powder, shampoo, soap etc?

He eats very well and had no change in diet. I was thinking hormonal as its just his face and only a few or couple at a time and definitely not a rash.
Hmm...

Causes - myriad. Symptoms - please get advice on treating, lest it scar. I'd ask after antibiotics such as oxytetracycline or equivalent for kids &/or topical remedies such as Panoxyl 5 Aqueous - or equivalent. Anything astringent will also help, as may a Clearasil-type washing régime.

If you're advised by doctors etc that it might be too early or unneccessary for anti biotics at this stage, tea tree oil facial wash is excellent. Even tea tree oil dabbed on to the spot with a clean finger a couple of times during the day and at bed time should have them cleared up really quick.
