Afternoon!

I've been invited on a last minute trip to India, leaving next Saturday. Flying into Delhi and doing a road trip to goa through a few places. I don't have any up to date inoculations, but from looking online the ones I need would have needed to be done weeks ago.

Does anyone know how important it is to have the time gap before going (I could try and get them done in the next few days), or how stupid it'd be to go without them?

Cheers,

Dom

You need time to get the full benefit, but anything is better than nothing, so get them done.

Dont know about inoculations but definitely take some of these and only drink water from sealed bottles.

Thanks

Haha cheers guys.

I haven't got anything booked and don't have to go, from reading online it looks like it might be silly with no/minimal vaccines!

ETA: Finding very conflicting advice online. Looks like HEP A/B are the key ones, and these should be done weeks before, so I probably shouldn't go on the trip?

My friend has hired a driver, though whether that's any better I have no idea! Sounded like it could be a fun trip to join, but seems it would be silly to go without the jabs and the visa might not be easy either.

Visa would be easy in the time available.

I wouldn't worry about the jabs to be honest. Ideally you would have them but you aren't going to drop dead as soon as you get off the plane. Man up.

Haha, I am very tempted but also knowing my luck I'd get bitten by a rabid dog and stabbed by a crazed junky whilst waiting for my taxi at the airport! I'm up for taking a small risk, but I just don't know how serious the threat of these things is if you're not vaccinated!
