Joint pain after taking joint supplements?
Discussion
My arms are in agony, the elbow joint closest to body to be more specific.
It's affecting my lifts and general day to day tasks.
I've changed nothing in diet and training, all I've added in is the following:

- Multivit
- Odourless garlic
- Magnesium
- Cod liver oil
- Iron
- Glucosamine sulphate
Most joint supplements are a fad. It's blood flow that matters and joint have little. Cod liver oil AFAIK has been proven to stop joint degeneration but does absolutely nothing to make a joint better.
Google Golfers elbow. It's progressing, degenerative and annoying. Kind of a burny sore twingy sort of niggly pain, in it's early stages.
Something I was getting. In my case it was simple over-training. I'd only feel it when I grabbed a banister and hauled myself up stairs, as you do when you execute good upper body power out of leg laziness.
First time I noticed it, after 10 months of religious 3 - 5 times a week exercise and only 1 week off, I stopped immediately and had 4 weeks off. I've just come back on slowly doing 60 rep routines, just finished a 21s set routine this week, not a hint of the problem.
Full-on strength routine next week, so we'll see.
Treat your body with respect and it will return in kind. Tendons and ligaments have poor blood flow so they heal very slowly, but if you give them time and don't come back too soon, you should be ok. IF you ignore it and try to power though it, you'll create a problem you may never recover from...

I've obviously had weekend off which will help but joint pain has only gone a bit.
I'd go to doctors Monday but ours is ridiculous. For what ever reason you can book days, weeks in advance yet if you want an appointment that day good luck. I don't understand why????
Unless someone cancels its as and when

So true. I properly f
ked a finger from doing pull ups on just two fingertips a few years ago*. Couldn't close my hand to make a fist. Thought I'd have to put up with it for life as my climbing partner had a similar injury at the time which never seemed to go away but fortunately got into strength training and climbed less frequently than I thought I would so my finger made a complete recovery. My climbing partner still has the problem because she kept climbing twice a week despite the injury...* - was showing off at the time. People were suitably impressed despite me feeling something go pop in my finger joint.
