It's bile that causes the poo to be brown, so it's a liver problem or sometimes a stomach infection. if it goes away quickly it's not a problem, if it last longer get it looked at!

If you've still got it in the toilet pan - take a sample using a plastic spoon ( so you can discard the spoon straight away) and drop it off at your doctor's surgery tomorrow morning

I did miss that bit out.

I've taken a stool sample ( with plastic spoon) hidden in an egg box before to the doctors surgery and asked them for a sample tube that I could put it in. I then went to the patients' toilet to sort it out properly

You need to get to the doctor ASAP. Seriously. You could have pancreatitis as mentioned, or cirrhosis or gallstones.
