I was born in South Yorkshire and was always strong and fit. Moved to Bristol and after just two months had to be off work with really painful sinous issues. Fast forward a few years and had to had an operation to my nose to try to ease the recurring problem, which helped. Now if I go back to Yorkshire after two days my head feels clearer and breathing fine, no snoring.
Come back and after just one day the syptoms are back. Not debilitating but unpleasent.
Why does location affect the body like this? I am guessing it must be something to do with elevation and pressure but the Doctors in Bristol seem to just say it is one of those things.
I don't want to move back to Yorkshire but it does bother me that for the last 20 years my health has sufferred as a result of location, any ideas?

Sound like allergic sinusitis. Something in the air is causing the linings in your nose to swell, blocking the sinus pathways and causing a build up of mucous which can cause pain and get infected.
The operation simply tries to make the pathways bigger so when you get allergic swelling, the pathways don't close up completely.
Balloon sinuplasty is a minimally invasive procedure for widening the pathways, is quick, effective and relatively painless.
