Anyone recommend decent alternatives to Whey in terms of shakes/supplements?

Had a plain whey shake last year and was violently sick for 20 minutes after then felt fine. Tried a whey flapjack bar a few months back and had violent diorama 2 hours later, I don't think my body likes it!!! I tend to avoid milk, bar tea and coffee as it upsets my stomach.

Happy with my workout (5x5...ish) and been making great strength and tone gains, especially the last few months when I have upped the weights. I try and eat a high protein diet and get a tin of decent tuna in every morning and try a factor in as much protein in at lunch and dinner. I also cycle 20 miles most days.

Are soya or pea protein shakes worth it to supplement my diet in the afternoons/evenings, or should I just carry on as I am?

You could try soya, it's cheaper to buy but it isn't as good or something like that.......
Or eat more biggrin

Bacon is the answer, and pork scratchings smile

More seriously, you can also get rice proteins along with egg powder.

IMO they won't hurt, but whether they're needed is up to you.

What brand did you try? Maximuscle makes me vomit and have the sts but bulk powders/protein works have given me no issues.
