Anybody else get them? For the last two nights I have awoken shouting "f
k Off" at the top of my voice. It felt like my feet were being pushed into the bed. I could swear there was something there when I was rudely awoken.
Not keen on it, I can tell you. I get sleep paralysis, too. Just as bad.

When camping once, a mate of mine suddenly sat up, looked straight at me and said "you f
king what"? When I asked him what he was playing at and he ignored me, I realised he was fast asleep.
We had a joke about it the next and sometimes still do.
I occasionally used to get night terrors in my late teens. You just have to lay there being scared s
tless and not being able to do anything about it. The one I remember the most vivid was a black figure slowly rising up from the bottom of the bed. You try to scream but for me it felt like I was so scared that I couldn't take a deep enough breath. So I would frantically gulp for air and the most I could manage was a whisper for help.

My 7 year old has started doing this. Comes downstairs for a cuddle at least once a night, up to three times some evenings. Never remembers it the next day.
I wouldn't mind but last Friday she brought down a toy guitar, a jumper, a book & mousetrap & left them by the stairs. it's like living in a sonambulistic version of the Generation game.
