I had something called Heliocobacter Pylori where everything gave me acid, once sorted, aside from 8 pints and a Vindaloo I find Bananas on an empty stomach give me indegestion as do pies, Sausages and Bacon.

Hot Cross buns can as well, seems to be the spice.

What is your food to avoid ?

A barbeque lunch, at my Mum's. My late Dad always used to cook, these days it's me and my brothers who cook. The result is still the same, horrid chest pains in the evening.

Pepperoni Pizza.

Any other pizza fine, pepperoni fine. The two together really uncomfortable!

That's because tomato is surprisingly acidic. Especially tinned tomatoes and passata. A pinch of sugar in your bolognese sauce helps with the taste of acidity, but what you really need is a quarter of a teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda in a bit of water after your meal. Counters the acidity perfectly, so you can enjoy your bolognese and not be cursing all evening.

Note: I am cooking bolognese as I type.
