I've been in pain since January,
with major cramps causing me to double over,
I don't go to GP or Hospital as i just take paracetamol and hope it passes.

It did.... for a bit then in the last week i've been getting same pains and symptoms.
Went to the Gp and he thinks its either a Kidney infection or Kidney stones, so i've been
given some anti-biotics,went for an x-ray yesterday and waiting for an appointment for an ultra sound.

Gp has said i'm not to work for 2 weeks and then we should have results back and he will see what is happening but he said potentially another 2 weeks after that!

Anyone else have kidney stones before?
How do you keep yourself from going stir crazy in the house?

I always want to go out and about but feel if people from work see me they will think,
"oh, you don't look ill! why are you not at work?!!

I had dull, sickening lower back pain 5 years ago. Hoped it would disappear on its own but I was in such pain after 2 days I went to A & E at 2 am to try for some relief. Excellent Doctor gave me the bend over treatment and diagnosed kidney stones, organised a scan and handed me some tablets. The following day I passed them bloodily whilst having a pee. There were 3 of the little buggers, the largest was an impressive 6mmx3mm.
I suffer a bad back due to a herniated disk which was cold sweat painfull at the time but the kidney stones caused me to throw up and be nauseous and I pray they never return.
