I've noticed in January there was a lot of threads about weight loss and training, but since April ish there's not as many posts. So has most reached targets or given up?
I started in January and have lost about 2 1/2stone down to 12st2lb for the last 2months I've been eating more and trying to get more protein,i think I've gained some of muscle i lost and slowly losing the belly fat. I was thinking of doing some different training was thinking of kettle bells that should help with muscle and burn fat shouldn't it?

i had a good 3 mths as the whole office was doing a biggest loser type thing. lost 8kg on that time mainly through cutting beer and exercising [cycling mainly].

then i went on holiday to the states and put on 2kg. kinda fell off the wagon for a couple more weeks after that due to mate's birthdays and leaving do's.

a couple of weeks back i started again in earnest but upping the frequency and varying the exercise. been swimming/running on alternate nights [1.6km swim, 8.5km run] and cycling only at the weekend due to the heat [did 75km friday morning in the high 30s]. also tried to cut down on carbs whch resulted in a diet of mainly salad and omelette. all in all i reckon i'm back to my original 8kg loss.

now got a good opportunity in that i'm on a 6 week project in africa with nothing to do other than work on site and sit in the hotel. planning to continue to low carb approach and the swim/run cycle with the aim to move to running everyday but varying the length [4km one day, 8km the next etc]. one of our guys did this on a job and lost 2 stone in 6wks. i'll see how far i go but if i can drop 1kg a week i will be more than happy.

January always reminds me of an alien invasion, the amount of people running in the streets!

yes Jan-Mar in Bath has the streets full of runners as people prepare for the Bath Half Marathon in March, then it dramatically tails off for another 9 months. Hopefully parkrun (and similar) can encourage some more people to make it a lifestyle change rather than a 3 month exercise binge thumbup

Typically, I lift heavy 3 times a week incorporating deadlifts, squats, bench press, shoulder press, bent over rows. I do other higher rep stuff as well so split the week up. For instance, for shoulders, I'll do heavy shoulder press, then heavy upright rows and lightish lateral raises. Improving strength is interesting but developing a nice physique is also interesting. 45 - 60 minutes a session.

Cardio: I do kung fu, dodgeball and tennis to varying degrees throughout the week. (Depends on the weather!)

Food: I try to eat a minimum of 140g of protein a day. Strangely, I'm still not sick of chicken and plain natural yoghurt after two years. I'm currently aiming for ~2400 cals a day but I do have two cheat days a week - not ideal but my current work/lifestyle dictates this - I've decided to use these two days for experimental purposes to see if I can avoid getting fat despite there being an unknown. I don't binge on food/booze on the "days off". But who knows what my calorie and protein intake is on those days. I guess it will go one of two ways - I either grow muscle or I lose fat as I continue to train hard. If I start to get too fat, I will just drop my calorie intake further on logged days.

Edit: if you're looking for ideas, include compound lifting as part of your weekly routine, add some fun cardio (sport), keep an eye on your food intake. It doesn't have to be complicated.
