Kidney stones

I have another kidney stone, first one 3 years ago was diagnosed and I was left to get on with it, never really felt it pass.
This one is different and spent the last 24 hours in hospital in agony and having scans etc.
so I have a 5mm stone currently in the narrowest part of the urethra.
Has anyone had any experience passing a 5mm stone?

I had one 4.5mm once.

That hurt, A LOT, but the relief after was immense.

I think I had one a few weeks back

I got the pain which settled pretty quickly actually followed by pretty scary bleeding
The subsequent camera where the sun doesnt shine gave the relief that it wasnt cancer however my lab tests suggest I have borderline gout and should probably drink less which TBH is something I need to address anyway
