Im at my wits end and im wondering if anyone can help.

Ive had all sorts of blood tests and nothing is ever found.

Basically ive got a huge clouding of conciousness, im completely disconnected from the moment i cant think straight, i cant take any new information in and i generally just feel spaced out.

Also when im outside im constantly straining my eyes like its too bright and everything is hazy.

Ive had eye tests aswell and thier fine. Help mee.

Are the two things connected? Did they start at the same time?

Something dietary re the 'brain -fog'?

An endocrinologist may ask for a catecholamine test. I had this test done a while back and it showed raised levels of epinephrine (adrenaline). I was suffering brain fog, slight trembles, raised heart rate etc. Imagine the 'fight or flight' reflex twenty four hours a day. Not pleasant. I was vastly overtraining at sport which stressed my body too much. I cut right back, changed my diet and gave up coffee. Took a while (two years) but I'm nearly fully better.

Ask for a hormone test then. Unlikely it can be done at your GPs as it involves urine collection over 24hrs and handing the bottle into the relevant department. Mine was done on the NHS and I had to wait bloody ages for it - I felt very let down by the NHS I must admit.

I was 'suffering' the exact same symptoms a few years back. It took 2 visits to my GP for him to take any notice. Was referred to a consultant who I visited monthly for 8 months. On each visit they did various blood tests and other scans etc.
Outcome was that he told me that everything was working perfectly!!! rolleyes
He then went on to say that because they could find no positive indications for anything else I must be suffering from ME!! confused

I then just carried on with my life and learned to peer through the fog!

Unfortunately I'll never get back the time wasted! frown

Have you had any thyroid function tests done?
Two of the symptoms I before being diagnosed for an under active thyroid was brain fog and susceptibility to light.

OP.
Try ZMAs,30 mins before bedtime, also you may have a magnesium shortage in your system, take a one a day with Zinc, minerals work best in pairs.

You may want to down load VRT exercises from the NHS website...

Hope this helps.....all worked for me....

I've been suffering from this and other things for several years now, I find simple sentences can be difficult

also my memory is absolutely terrible and when I go to bed sometimes my body buzzes everywhere and I am not sure where or who I am

but I've just kind of learned to deal with it

The OP hasn't been seen on here for years, so I doubt you'll get a reply.

I get this sometimes, I have psoriatic arthritis and will notice it during the worst of a flare up.

This is purely a theory on my part and obviously if you don’t have the same condition it may not help, but maybe other autoimmune or inflammatory issues could cause the same symptom?

I’ve been thinking that for months tbh. Seen 7 different medical professionals and they all fobbed me off with “its a virus”.

I get something similar to this - brain fog, blurred vision and slight arthritis symptoms. I'm very convinced it's down to diet for me.

I know I'm intolerant to dairy but I also think wheat has a huge impact. I intend to to go Ketogenic at some point but it isn't easy when travelling for instance.
