Hi folks,

Something went ping in my back yesterday when I got into the car - a very uncomfortable night's sleep followed. Any tips for giving this the best chance to heal before I get on an 11 hour flight on Sunday?

I've just taken two brufen and will obviously be taking it easy but if you've ever pulled a muscle or ligament in your back, you'll know how sore it is.

Cheers

Martin

Cold pack, heat pack, cold pack, heat pack. Rest and be careful. Don't do anything to make it worse.

You could try some Deep Heat or Ralgex cream to warm the muscles. I find that gives good relief from muscle aches/spasms.

Alternatively there are air activated heat pads which might also help.

And ibuprofen. Lots of it.

Go to see your GP and see if they'll prescribe you some decent strength pain killers or some diazepam for the flight.

Physio. Have a quick look. I managed to get SWMBO a same day appointment earlier in the week.

Thanks guys. It feels a little better already and that's just with a hot shower, heat pad and brufen.

This- It works a treat. Tramadol is nice too. Do not see physio-quacks and zoodo. They screwed my back up big time

I have an unopened box of tramadol from a previous sinus op - hopefully I won't need it though.
