MAN FLU!! how long before antibiotics?
Discussion
Early last week I was aware that a cold seemed under way. Come Friday the luminous snot monster had arrived, over the weekend I felt totally exhausted with aching teeth, jaw and head etc and now it's Monday I've taken the day off. This is unusual for me, I just won't take time off for anything, least of all a cold.
So the question is: The luminous stuff continues to come virtually every 10 minutes, so do I go to the Doc and get antibiotics or just sit tight?

Probably succeed in passing it around the waiting room and coming away with ear full from the doc rather than a pill?
Yep, that's my thoughts too really. I've been trying to avoid old people etc. already and don't want to pass it on. Someone told me not to take paracetamol,as it stops the white blood cells from reproducing and we need them to attach the bugs. Ever heard that before? If it were me I'd just sit it out. Even if you have some sort of infection it will generally clear up of its own accord after a while.
Disclaimer though, if it gets any worse it may be worth making an appointment even if only to be told you're not going to die, go home, take some paracetamol, and go to bed.
Never heard about paracetamol affecting you blood production, folk have been taking it for colds/fever for years so probably a load of old b
