knee cap dislocation

Suffered 4 dislocated knee caps over 16 years on my right knee.got it fixed just over a year ago.now I've suffered a dislocation of my left knee never had trouble with it before went to fracture clinic at local hospital and told to go back in 3 months to check up on it should I wait 3 months or ask to see different doctor?

do 3 months of proper physio, then go back to a knee surgeon

Thanks doc haven't been given any physio just been doing exercises I've done with my other knee.and got my hospital appointment thru for for beginning of Feb
