Went down with flu on Boxing day and spent 4-5 days in bed. Everything hurt. Gradually that subsided but mother nature thought she'd dish out some pnumonia instead. So now a nasty cough, shallow breaths, sweats and bad nights.
This has all left me completely exhausted and I'm back to work tomorrow. I'm literally devoid of energy and need some tips on how to recover some. I'm starting each day with a bowl of porridge, a cuppa and a Barrocca. So what can I do?

The flu I had last Xmas was horrible, usual symptoms but left me drained for a week after feeling better, worth a doctors visit as I was signed off for a week. The hacking cough lasted a lot longer.

Not an option unfortunately..lots starting tomorrow. Though I will bale out early. I sometimes wonder if you push through and get outside, it actually helps.
I just need something that makes me feel 20 for a day or two!

Get a pack of Jaffa cakes down you daily = fast energy.

1 x 1000mg vit c effervescent tabs daily = a boost.

Maybe also try metatone tonic after meals to help replenish what you've lost.

All the above have worked for me in the past.

Full English breakfast and a can of Monster or similar. Don't skip lunch.
