I have 3 Weetabix in the mornings, 2 x granary toast mid morning and a crusty roll at lunctime in the week. At the weekend i mostly only have the Weetabix. Is that too much and if so why?

Short answer no

Long answer - depends on how processed it is, whole wheat is good for you, processed wheat (ie white flour) not as good for you.

It also depends what else your eating.

Balanced diet is key.

It doesn't really matter how processed it is. Though "healthy whole grains" are heavily advertised as if they are good for you they also involve you eating the bits that would otherwise be a waste product. Coincidence? scratchchin

Wheat breaks down quickly to glucose and little else. So, it is mostly empty calories that your body has little choice other than storing as fat. It is no accident that we feed cereals to animals for market - that was original what we grew the cereals for. Far more profitable to cut out the middle animal. That's probably a coincidence too. scratchchin

Anyway, are you eating too much wheat? Probably, I think many are. More clearly, you don't seem to be eating any green vegetables. So you are probably vitamin deficient as well as fat. tongue out
