Physiotherapy - any recommendations?
Discussion
Long story short. My left knee was playing up. Turns out my left side is weaker and my right side has been compensating and a dull pain every now and then, with pronounced click if going from locked knee to open. Queue physiotherapy every few weeks and home workouts that they provided.
Two appointments had to be cancelled by the NHS and I had to reschedule. I missed the last one and have now received a letter stating that I've been discharged and need to go back to my GP to be referred. I'm beginning to think it might be easier to pay rather than waste the doctors time, wait 2 months for another appointment etc.
I know I've missed an appojment and that could have been for something else and I'd rather have the NHS than not, but considering I missed one appointment I find it a bit off considering I've been going for 9 months.
Is it a case of you get what you pay for when going private, or are there alternatives. All though my leg feels stronger I still feel like the pain is still there and I've been following the guides of only swimming front crawl and cross trainer, no impact cardio such as running.

I've had NHS physio multiple times and I am not complimentary.
Stump up some money and go and see a private physio for an assessment.
Some private physios will try and bump you by making you continually come back when it may not strictly be necessary but you can soon tell the difference between a good physio and a not so good one.
